Born in South West London, Jim spent most of his high school education wanting to become a Police Officer. After leaving school, he went on to study ‘Preparation for Entry into the Uniformed Services’ at College, before following his ambition and joining the Metropolitan Police Service in 2004, where he developed a host of front-line attributes, including a 'sixth sense' for recognising danger, diverse problem solving skills, a high-degree of resilience when dealing with the Public, a calm-head when under pressure, Crowd Management and effective Communication and Conflict Resolution skills.

Deciding on a different career path, he decided to leave and resigned from the Metropolitan Police Service, moving into the Security Industry, becoming SIA Licensed in 2007 in both Security Guarding and Vehicle Immobilisation. Jim started working within the NHS as a Security Officer, before being quickly promoted through the ranks, to Mobile Patrol Officer and then Shift Supervisor. He began working with The ‘Civil Aviation Authority’ (CAA) in 2008, where he was promoted again to Duty Manager, before returning to the NHS setting.

In 2010, Jim had established himself with a newer start-up business as an Operations Manager, where he was directly responsible for staff and tendering for business. He continued to develop his skills, becoming SIA Licensed in Door Supervision and Public Space Surveillance, as well qualifying as a Trainer of vocational skills, including SIA linked qualifications, First Aid and Fire Safety. Being passionate about keeping people safe, Jim has continued to work alongside some of the biggest and best Operators, from FTSE-listed Companies to brand-new SME's, before founding 'The Pulse Group of Companies' in June 2015.
