COOPOWER
COOPOWER is a project funded by the Interreg Danube Region Programme that brings together nine partners from eight countries (Bulgaria, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and Ukraine).
The project aims to address the persistent issue of youth unemployment and social inequalities in the Danube Region, with a particular focus on young people aged 15 to 30 who face significant barriers to entering the labour market.
These challenges may arise from limited access to education, economic hardship, or living in disadvantaged areas.
KEY FIGURES
Running from April 2025 to March 2028, the project creates an intersectoral collaboration space, involving youth, local authorities, civil society, researchers, and employers to co-develop practical solutions tailored to regional realities.
Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, COOPOWER emphasizes shared learning and local adaptation.
Through pilot programmes, local cooperation incubators, and a transnational dialogue hub, the project encourages exchange of experiences and the creation of sustainable networks designed to last beyond the project’s duration.

Working together in COOPOWER allows us to innovate responsibly in the area of vulnerable youth employment and drive real social change.
It’s about turning ideas into concrete action through shared commitment, while developing solutions aligned with the PA9 objectives of the Danube Region Strategy (#EUSDR).
Because some challenges are too big to face alone. It is inspiring to see such diverse partners across the Danube Region join forces, share ideas, and channel their passion to turn collaboration into real impact for the region.
